Visionary: d.velop in the 2021 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Content Services Platforms (CSP)

d.velop 2021 recognized as a “Visionary” for the first time in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™.

This year, d.velop is recognized for the first time in the recently published Magic Quadrant™ CSP by the internationally renowned market researchers from Gartner®. The German software house is named as a “Visionary”. The Gartner® Magic Quadrant™, in our opinion, helps companies navigate upcoming investment decisions in complex and rapidly changing IT markets.

(Gescher, October 21, 2021) The d.velop Group is recognized for the first time in the Magic Quadrant™ for Content Services Platforms (CSP) just published by Gartner®. The German software manufacturer was placed as a “Visionary”, so it belongs to the companies that, according to Gartner®, are characterized by a special understanding of market developments or a vision of changing market rules. The Magic Quadrant™ provides investing companies with an overview of the relative position of competitors in major technology markets. In addition to the Ability to Execute, the Completeness of Vision is also examined. A total of 18 providers worldwide are represented in the CSP quadrant in 2021.

As per Gartner®, “Visionaries, like Leaders, present modern, innovative and often highly differentiated offerings. The way they implement Critical Capabilities is often highly differentiated (for example, rich federation solutions or intelligent services tightly and consistently integrated into end-user activities). They typically have broad applicability across several industries and geographies. However, they often exhibit limitations in terms of scale, which constrains their Ability to Execute. […] Visionaries are suitable for organizations looking to modernize and transform. They can tackle familiar problems in new ways. Prospective customers should, however, check whether these vendors can scale their services to meet the demands of large international projects with broad horizontal use-case requirements.”

Mario Dönnebrink, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of d.velop, on the placement of his company in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ CSP: “We are of course very pleased to be named in the globally recognized Magic Quadrant™. With the characterization as Visionary, we feel very well described in our self-image of being an innovative, far-sighted partner for our customers. Above all, I am happy for our more than 900 employees at d.velop, who together give their best every day to make these visions come true.”
