Loacker today – traditional family business & international brand
During the past 90 years, the Loacker name has become an internationally known brand which has always gone unwaveringly its own way. What has helped us with this, and still does, is our status as a family business. We can decide each step ourselves and have ensured the highest quality for generations. As a small confectioner in Bolzano’s/Bozen’s old town, Loacker offered the highest quality and art of patisserie even then. And today, it is still the mission of our family business to make consumers all over the world happy with our easily digestible, natural goodness.
The requirements
A suitable document management system (DMS) was to be established in the internationally oriented and dynamically growing company. In addition, a seamless integration of the DMS into the leading SAP ERP was required. The integration should include the complete, legally compliant and transparent digitization of all documents in the form of customer files, order files, supplier files, order files, technical documents, etc. The DMS should also be seamlessly integrated into the leading SAP ERP system. On this basis, Loacker wanted to comprehensively design digital business processes, provide documents for customers and optimize internal collaboration. Also the automation of the procurement processes (procure2pay) within the scope of the special legal requirements in Italy belonged to the scope of the project.
According to Loacker’s ideas, the DMS used should further promote the internal “Share & Work Together” idea. In addition, the topic of the compliant filing according to the requirements of the respective countries was of importance in the project.
Through SharePoint / Office365 / Teams and d.velop for Office 365, we create added value in order to better tread the path of new process-oriented cooperation.

The strategy
In order to digitize the internal administration of Loacker and to successfully complete the project, a strategy was drawn up before the start of the project. The project started with the core. The migration of the existing solutions, the d.3ecm from d.velop to SharePoint/O365. Subsequently the integration of SharePoint/O365 into SAP ERP was carried out in order to display the respective files in the context of an SAP process. In the next step, an azure-based middleware for SAP connectivity was set up. Last but not least the use of SharePoint/O365 and d.velop for Office 365 as a platform for audit-proof archiving.
The results
After the successful implementation of the project, it was determined that not only the process was optimized, but that there had been a significant reduction in isolated solutions. A further advantage is that a company-wide and holistic use of strategically placed products is possible. ( SAP=ERP, information management = SharePoint/O365+d.velop for Office 365). Key users and employees also benefit directly from the project. Thus you have access to all relevant documents at any time and from everywhere, which brings with it an immediate ability to provide information.
Also the digital verification and approval of incoming invoices with the deep SAP integrated solution of d.velop enables a transparent and fast processing from invoice receipt to payment in addition to the legally compliant filing according to the respective country regulations and special features in the area of digital invoices (FatturaB2B).
